During your next Pacific Surfliner trip, head over to the Market Café, located on the lower level of Car 3, and browse our selection of food and drinks. We’ve recently introduced new products to the menu that we think you’ll love – handpicked for their taste, and made from quality ingredients right here in Southern California.
Here are some of the new items you might find onboard:
Artisan Sandwiches and Salads
Our rotating assortment includes a Chicken Pesto Sandwich on Focaccia, a vegetarian Caprese Sandwich, and a Harvest Chicken Entrée Salad, to name a few. Each is carefully assembled with fresh ingredients – bread for the sandwiches is baked daily, the meats come directly from packers, and the produce is brought in from local farms!

Bistro Boxes
These new grab-and-go boxes are a perfect snack. The breakfast box has a bagel, cream cheese, and fresh fruit, perfect for an early morning trip! There is also a cheese and cracker box as well as a healthy veggie and dip option. We also still offer the Kids Snack Pack, a $5 box filled with sweet and savory snacks, a drink, and activities for little ones.

Fresh Breakfast Options
We now offer cinnamon rolls and coffee cake muffins from Edna’s Bakery, based in San Luis Obispo. Our breakfast burrito, breakfast sandwich, and yogurt parfait have also been upgraded. Make it a breakfast combo for just $1 more, including coffee, tea or hot chocolate.

Snacks and Sweets
We’ve brought back the fresh fruit cup, and now offer the “Mighty Mango” Naked® Juice Smoothie – refreshing options perfect for the summer. As always, the Market Café also has an assortment of cookies, candy, and chips to choose from.
Hot Fare
Try the new beef or chicken tamales, produced locally in Los Angeles. Other favorites remain, including pepperoni pizza, cheeseburgers, and kosher beef hot dogs.

Beer and Cocktails
We have a growing selection of local craft beer, and are excited to now offer two selections from Modern Times, a local brewery with locations in San Diego and Los Angeles. Try the Orderville Hazy IPA (ABV 7.2%) or the Ice Pilsner (ABV 4.8%). Or, pick up a premixed cocktail from Cutwater Spirits, a San Diego-based company with a wide selection of tasty canned cocktails, including Bloody Mary’s, Margaritas, and more.

Wine
We’ve localized our wine selection to feature some of California’s top wineries. Purchase a half bottle for $15. The Kendall Jackson Chardonnay integrates tropical flavors such as pineapple, mango, and papaya. The Ferrari-Carano Fume Blanc has aromas and flavors of pink grapefruit, lemongrass, orange blossom, and more. The Mondavi Private Label Cabernet has a sweet black cherry and dark berry fruit character, and has been called one of California’s finest Cabernet Sauvignons. The Meiomi Pinot Noir gets its fruit from the most noteworthy coastal areas in California, and has a deep yet balanced flavor that pairs well with food.
The Market Café is located in Car 3, next to Business Class. Head down the stairs to the lower level and pick up something tasty to enjoy during your next trip! There are a few tables available for passengers who purchase food or drinks, but you can also bring your items back to your seat. View our full menu to see prices and more options.
