International phenomenon BTS came to Pasadena for two sold out stadium concerts at the Rose Bowl on May 4 and 5. Oh my my my!
The concerts are over, but you can save this information about riding the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner to the Rose Bowl for future shows. Here’s how:
1. Find Your Station
The Pacific Surfliner serves stations in San Diego, Orange, Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties. Find the station closest to you (many offer free parking!) and ride to Los Angeles Union Station.
2. Ride to Los Angeles
On the train, charge your phone, check out the latest BTS updates thanks to free Wi-Fi, and rest your legs in our comfy seats (save your energy for the show!) Tip: Head to the Café car and purchase a discounted one-day LA Metro pass for your connection to Pasadena. Forgot your headphones? We sell those, too, so you can listen to your favorite songs.
3. Connect to Pasadena
Once you arrive at Los Angeles Union Station, follow the signs to the Metro Gold Line. Use the one-day pass you purchased onboard the Pacific Surfliner or purchase one from the vending machine near the boarding area. Board the Metro Gold Line toward APU/Citrus College Station and Exit at Memorial Park Station. You’re now just outside of beautiful Old Town Pasadena.

4. Board the Shuttle
Once you exit the train, follow the signs for two blocks to the Rose Bowl Shuttle pick-up location at Parsons. This shuttle will take you directly to the stadium! Shuttle operations will begin at 3:30 p.m. and continue until 90 minutes after the concert ends.
5. Explore the Best of Old Town Pasadena and Los Angeles
We wouldn’t want you to miss any of the concert, which is why we suggest you stay the night in Los Angeles after the concert ends (our last trip south departs Union Station at 10:22 p.m.) So instead, consider booking a night in one of the charming hotels of Old Town Pasadena, located not far from the shuttle stops. Then, you can spend the next morning and afternoon exploring the boutiques and restaurants of the area before heading back. You can also ride the light rail system to other parts of Los Angeles, including Hollywood, Exposition Park and Koreatown.
